Hey gang, Couldn't find anything using the search function... Has anyone found sieve filter screens (actual or other repurposed material) in Australia? If so what, where, how much, etc? Cheers, Aaron |

Look to other industries other than AP that use the product. I, buy mine from a Oil and Gas supplier for a lot less than what you pay from the AP suppliers, they probably buy and resell from the same suppliers, anyways. . |

Hey Guys, I was thinking in the 100-300µm range. I have found woven SS mesh in Aust (mining related stuff which I use myself for work) but I'm concerned the woven mesh might clog. Anyone tried it? The commercial sieve screens out there all look like 'wedge wire' screen, i.e. SS sheet with slots/holes cut in them. I did speak to a laser cutter about their laser's ability to cut to the sizes mentioned abobe, but no good. Seems they only get down to around 500µm (0.5mm). |

What size nylon mesh did you use? Are the solids sloughing off and water passing through OK? Any photos? |

i bought the 150micron. i havent actually set it up yet, bought it about a week or 2 ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul_oPDh0gh4 ^ that is the filter i saw a few years ago that i plan to pretty much copy (but with a curved screen). it seems to work ok, by the comments they can clog up a bit and might require brushing on occasions. he is using 100micron in that video apparently |

I'll have a look at work on Monday. I can't for the life of me remember where I get it from! We use it in shale shakers if you want to do some googling. |
