I'm planning our first ever AP system and was just wondering if second hand jacuzzis/spa baths make good fish tanks?

If you've got a free one lying around, I'd say use it. However, they've got masses of nooks and crevasses that solids will settle in, and will need cleaning more often.

It'd work, but there are far better/cheaper options around.

That makes sense. I was thinking the jets etc would be a pain to clean.

It would probably only be worth doing if you could seal off the jets somehow.

How do you work out volume capacity on a corner spa bath that is 1300 X 1300?

Is it roughly trianglular? short side X other short side, divided by 2. If it is tapered top to bottom, use a side measurement half way down.

That said, circular is superior to any other shape for a FT.

Yeah. I was originally thinking that a triangular tank would be better than a square one... But I see now that it would have more dead water with poor flow.
