I am getting to rebuild my GH which collapsed in the blizzard of '13'... one of the disapointments in the last GH is there seemed not to be enough light for cole crops in the winter. What i'd like to find is a cheap source for "tefzel" type materials that are ~96% light transmissable... better than glass. I first heard of tefzel (the dupont trade name, there are others) adozen years ago, but the prices never seemed to drop any. I'd be willing to pat 2x the price of poly film, but i don't think i'd go beyond that. I can't seem to find anything less than 10 x the cost. *sigh*

1.) anyone using any of these films as a GH cover? ETFE or ECTFE?
2.) Anyone know of a decent price?

one major drawback is it is difficult (Impossible) to find widths greater than 50 inches and the stuff therefor needs to be welded.

it just seems like the perfect GH material but no one makes it for that. Just fancy archetectural projects that have big budgets.

Never heard of it.

Until the price comes down it is unlikely to be used widely in GHs.
