How deep should my sump tank be, when I want to have my pump in it? I am hoping to have a laguna max flo 2200, but can't find anything about how deep it needs the water to be. I'm planning to have the sump tank under the growbeds, and am trying to work out heights and things. I'm planning a constant flood system. Thanks for any help.

I don't know the specifics for that pump, but the further under the surface it is, as in the deeper the water is, the more buffer you have against water loss due to evaporation etc.

From memory I think the Lagunas need 200mm or 300mm of submergence measured from the top of the filter cage.

I think you can download the manual from the Laguna home page.
