I finally bought a pond pump to replace the Bilge pump I was using. My pump Came with A course primary filter inside the housing. The question I have is do others leave this filter on or remove it ' I only used the pump for one day and the filter was partly blocked. My water was reasonably clean so I dont know where this stuff was coming from. Probably washout from the grow bed. I'd rather have a scourer pad on the top as others have so l Can see it easier when it needs cleaning. |

Took mine out today, covered in cat hair? Bloody cats, anyhow I setup an out of system filter that cleans the fish poo and uneaten food from my fish tank and sump tank, just leaving the good bacteria to go back into the grow beds, what you do is up to you! There are no experts in this field. Its just time and practise, everyone’s system is different, ideas are cheep, putting them to practise costs money, |
