Right up front I'd like to say, since this is my idea, I'd like to be given the privilege of naming it.
To that end, I'm naming it the....
SEASONALLY ADAPTIVE DEPLOYMENT of GEO-RELALATIVE INSTALLATION TECHNOLOGY since that is quite a lot of typing, I've decided that it will be appropriate that the acronym "SAD GIT" be used as an alternative, in honor of its inventor....me.

What can a "SAD GIT" do for me you ask?

SAD GIT will finally overcome the bane of nearly all serious gardeners who deploy shade cloth to protect their plants. It's for those serious gardeners who lay awake at night wondering "How can I get the right amount of shade for my plants?"

The beauty of "SAD GIT" is it does it in a way that should never need to be adjusted as the near perfect amount of light will be applied to you beloved plants at all times in all seasons. This is "set and forget technology" the best kind

"That sounds too good to be true" "Shade needs to be adjusted to suit the individual plants needs and a "SAD GIT" cant do that", I hear you say.

Of course, there will be gardeners for whom even a "SAD GIT" is not enough, these are the people who commune with their plants on a spiritual level they're beyond mere gardening. The special garden gurus know instinctively that a plants shade needs change not only seasonally but minute by minute according to the passing clouds and they willingly wrestle with their solar protection and do it with earnestness. Unfortunately if you are such a person a "SAD GIT" isn't enough. I understand, I feel your pain.

Here at telonline we are constantly looking to the future and are developing an ACTIVE RADIANT SUNSHINE ENVELOPE HOME OPERATED LATTICE EQUIPMENT package which, keeping with tradition, we intend to name in honor of our financial backers.

So without further adieu' I give you SAD GIT.

You forgot to include the calculation which tells us the angle of the shade cloth at our particular lattitude.

This is for Solar panels http://solarelectricityhandbook.com/sol ... lator.html so I guess it should work but I am sure tehre are better ones around

Jislizard,

Excellent addition to the idea.

I hope you had a chuckle as well.

Unfortunate version two has been placed on permanent hiatus after negotiation with financiers broke down irreconcilably.

I won't bother to pitch you my idea of having the shade angle adjustable then... Too many moving parts anyway :)

They're harder to convince than the tax department and I often wonder would they have a better career opportunity in accountancy than household management :dontknow:

Ah yes, the real minister of finance

She keeps harping at me she wants me to mow the grass. I've told her she doesn't have to keep bringing it up every six months... but she insists.

Squatchaponics.

Believe my friend, I'm working on it.

Some of the new fake grasses are excellent and will look nice around the greenhouses.

I am just getting into this AP thing but I already have a plan to take over every piece of yard.

If you can't eat it... don't grow it.

until you realise that instead of mowing... now she asks you to vacuum it weekly.

Then you will look like a crazy person who vacuums grass. Image

I haven't seen a quote on one of these but they market them as cheaper than a GH.
