Ok just starting out and I have a problem. I bought my IBC Tote to make my fish tank and a grow bed. I didn't notice until I got home, that the top of the tote is not level. Two sides are going to be lower than the center cap. Should I be concerned that these will not drain or just not worry about it?

Most IBC's that I have seen are stepped down in the middle where the cap is, I don't think it's much of an issue.

Mine have the step aswell, I don't think it's problematic to have that little bit of water not drain each siphon. Plus if you place the siphon on the lowest point (either side of the step) you'll drain most of it anyhow.

some people cut them vertical, you get a slightly bigger GB that way and a flat bottom.

but if cut horizontally with the uneven base, it works for most people without issues.

i cut a hole big enough in the metal base for the screw on lid to fit through and i think with the weight of my heavy media it helped to flatten out the bottom a bit so the lid is pretty much the lowest point. But as others have said i dont think it makes much difference.
