Advise out there?

I have an IBC system in Seattle 75% setup with a small continuous pump and auto-siphon. I'm thinking of yellow perch with a small variable temp heater that can boost the temp to 50+ during cold spells in Seattle mild winters. How reasonable is this? Thanks!
