I have the chance of a couple of IBCs for a good price, all I know is they contained a glue based product, will they clean up ok for fish or would you need more info? This is the only info I have but can drive up and get more details. Thanks for any help Colin |

Get some more detail of what it was, name, water based, use and then let us know. You can also then google for the safety sheet. |

I got a IBC tote from someone, and it contained Polyvinyl Alcohol (also known as Aracet in my country of origin). I cleaned it up as best as I could but it still had some residue in it. I've looked up the toxicity data and it says it has low toxicity to aquatic life. I've had fish in it for about a year without problems. Sure I've had some die, but I very much doubt it had anything to do with toxicity, but it was either accidents (kid messed with it and water got drained), or with temperature extremes in Phoenix Arizona, or with the fact that my system is just not perfected yet and I don't always give it the amount of attention (cleaning) it needs. |

Well I took a drive to see the containers, don't know if I like the look of it, they state the chemical to have been hazardous, seems like some kind of Ammonia/Nitrate material. I have attached a photo I took of the label, would appreciate some help if anyone is familiar with this type of chemical. Thanks Colin edit.. bit of info here http://www.momentive.com/Products/Techn ... px?id=5622
