or 288 ltrs per 100mm of height
2.4*1.2*1.2= 3.456 cu mtrs or 3456 ltrs

I'd got for a bit of overlap on all dimensions Fishlips... just fold the excess over/around the top lip... and secure it...

So ... with two sides @ 1.5m + 1.5m for the bottom... you'd need a piece at least 2.5m long x 5m wide ??

Or buy per metre... standard sized... like here...

http://www.pondsupplies.com.au/pondshop ... c-333.html

http://www.rockaroundtheblock.com.au/ca ... sp?cID=132

Or make the tank 3mtr long and grab this... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/POND-LINER-WATER ... dZViewItem ....
