I went to the local hardware store today to gather parts for a bell siphon. I was stumped when i couldn't find a bulkhead fitting. Is there an alternative to this? Any suggestions would be helpful. This is my first system and my goal is to have water recirculating by christmas. Only one day left at the hardware store! Peace |

I would look at the local farm or ranch supply stores. They usually have something for stock tanks. Unfortunately most don't show their stock online. I would also try marine supply stores if there are any around Others to try Aquarium supply places - particularly if they sell Koi Hydroponics stores - they will charge a premium usually W. W. Grainger probably have them but might not be in stock locally- http://www.grainger.com/category/bulkhead-tank-fittings/pipe-fittings-and-couplings/plumbing/ecatalog/N-now Hope you manage to find them. |

Have you tried Uniseals instead, they are cheaper, easier to install and work very well |

I recently found water heater pan fittings. They are basically a pvc slip on one side and have a washer and nut on the other. Pretty cheap, have not used them yet but available at your local HD/Lowes... Pershing |

Thanks for the suggestions. Wantd to have my water recirculating today, but after getting to the hardware store and forgetting my wallet(after i had half the materials in hand), I didn't have time to go back. So I sit and wait for twelve more hours! This anticipation is killing me, it's worse than waiting for Christmas morning! Love & Gratitude |

I get my bulkheads from amazon. Company called coop queen sells 5 packs of them for less than 20 dollars if I remember correctly. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk now Free |
