Hi guys, I am building an Aquaponics setup at the moment an the fish tank I have bought is a white pearl colour. It is not clear however in the sun it is very bright. The question is. Will it let too much light in and cause algae to grow? I am keen for some advice as if you think it will be a problem I cam always paint it. Thanks |

A standard IBC will grow algae well if not painted or bordered with something so yes, you will require something to darken the FT. |

Yeah, i've used the black coloured IBCs in the past as these seem to be best for preventing algae. However, obviously you've already got it so yes i'd paint it. http://www.deltacontainers.com/IBC-Prod ... -pallet/13 |

Thanks guys. My tank is a new poly aqua culture tank which is the only reason i asked the question. Looking at how bright the white was in the sun I had a feeling that unless i was going to keep it in a shed it would need to be painted. Thank you again for the advice. |
