Just came across a place i can get a load of IBC's from for a new system, but they were filled with a hydraulic fluid called Hy-Spin. Apparently cleaning them of the fluid is easily done with a degreaser, but was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Hy-Spin and whether there is any negative impact on the fish from it after cleaning? Cheers and thanks Alan |

They will clean up fine, myst. Degreaser then chlorine and high pressure wash a few times. Leave out in the sun for a while to evaporate any chlorine residue. |

Google 'exact product name msds' and double check that. I googled 'hy-spin msds' there's quite a few different oils with that name, had a quick look at one of the castrol ones for you and looks to be safe |

awesome, thanks guys. Charlie, that's pretty much what I have done... just managed to pick up a set of 7 blue drums for a carton too, so looks like I might be scrubbing most of the next weekend!! |
