Just came across a place i can get a load of IBC's from for a new system, but they were filled with a hydraulic fluid called Hy-Spin. Apparently cleaning them of the fluid is easily done with a degreaser, but was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Hy-Spin and whether there is any negative impact on the fish from it after cleaning?

Cheers and thanks
Alan

They will clean up fine, myst. Degreaser then chlorine and high pressure wash a few times. Leave out in the sun for a while to evaporate any chlorine residue.

Google 'exact product name msds' and double check that. I googled 'hy-spin msds' there's quite a few different oils with that name, had a quick look at one of the castrol ones for you and looks to be safe :thumbleft:
