I know I've seen setups with IBCs in basements etc., but it seems like they'd be large to go through a typical residential doorway. It's a pretty rare doorway that's more'n 3' wide, and aren't IBCs 4' plus? I know, measure twice and all that, but since IBC dimensions seem to vary thought I'd make sure I'm not missing something obvious here. |

I think the way they are getting them in is by cutting the top off prior to bringing them in the house. I have never seen an intact IBC inside a house on any I have looked at. |

you could dissassemble the frame, and then maybe partially collapse the bottle to fit through a door, but that could very well damage it, (leading to leaks) i cut my bottles and frames up before bringing them in the basement |

Many of the frames I've seen are welded I think. Thanks for the data points... somehow my brain has been building an IBC fish tank (cut only at top for near-full height FT) in my back room but I think I'll have to re-consider 300g stock tanks, or possibly tandem 150-gallon ones. |

my frames were screwed together, (i think most are since you can replace the bottle) i had to get a couple of larger torx bits for it though |

I don't know that I would bring 2500 pounds worth of water inside if it were me unless it was sitting directly on a concrete slab. My house is pier and beam so the only place I could do that was in the garage. |

Why actually, that IS a concrete slab under my IBC . This section of the house is right on slab... maybe it used to be a garage or something (odd added-on DIY construction style we call ""mountain built"). |

I wish my system was inside right now. Temp swings are killing my fish. Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk now Free |
