That's neat. Good job Dave. Any idea how much this cost you relative to purchasing one of the ones for cattle or something along those lines?

Thanks! Not including the John Guest fittings (about $3.00 each) the whole assembly was $14.77 in parts from Home Depot. The JG fittings are convenient but there are cheaper alternatives and would need to be tailored to your individual application. So, for under $15 it seemed worth it to me. :)

Oh, I also didn't include the 2" PVC pipe I made the weight out of but that's not necessary either. I could have filled the stand feet with river rock instead.

You could do away with that whole stand and the weight if you had a way to attach it to something that ran down into the water from above (like a PVC pipe).

That's true. There are lots of different ways to configure something like this. :thumbright:
