Looking for a manufacturer or dealer of curved corrugated metal roofing in Thailand or Oz. The stuff they generally offer here in Thailand is crimp curved and not suitable for the purpose we need it for. I see that in Australia it is pretty commonly used for rain water tanks etc. Anybody who can help out here? Thanks. |

Can't help you directly. The stuff used to make tanks over here is made by a roller. Tank manufacturers purchase flat stock and roll it to suit the job at hand. You can pick them up as a bunch of people who were making tanks during the drought have stopped now that it is raining again. Getting a roller will only help if you can get the corresponding profile. Unless that is you also get the corrugated profile roller which will take flat sheet to corrugated. What are you trying to do? |

The workshop/garage is a type of quonset hut and needs to be covered with corrugated sheeting. (check the drawings in my system thread for an idea about it). Have no intention to get a roller (I'm aware of the process of curving corrugated sheets) so looking for a company here or in Oz that can do it for me. It can be shipped here and the trade agreement between Oz and Thailand would not increase the price with import duties, only shipping would come to it. The polyester kind can be bend to curve by hand to a certain radius, but is not my first choice cause of durability (it is not very UV resistant in the longer run) and it is transparent, which would show the insulation and construction behind it (not nice, unless you like the pure industrial style of it). |

It is not the best solution but you can put the sheets on running the length of the greenhouse. As long as you make sure that the very top sheet runs along the very top of the GH and have extra overlap on the adjacent sheets it shouldn't be a problem. |

I think any Bluescope Lysaght centre should be able to roll steel for you. I know the local one in Tamworth (pop 40000) near me does it, so the capital cities will all have places that can do it. |

Where is it cheapest to ship stuff from. I'm Guessing Brisbane or Perth based on facilities and distance? Mind you the expensive bit of shipping stuff by ship is the loading and unloading so you could probably get a deal from any of the major ports. |

We have Bluescope here in Thailand and if it were not for the total stupidity of these idiots, I could laugh about them. So that's a no go. I could try them in Oz, but will probably be redirected to them again. We also have a factory of Hadley here, but they don't sell it in Thailand! The best they can do is ordering in UK and have it send here, too expensive. The longitudinal option is not viable because of the substructure, which consists out of hoops with purlins spaced 1meter apart welded to it. Would be to weak to support the bended parts. See pics for a side and front view plus example of the kind of barrel curve I'm looking for. PLJ, the 2 you mentioned could be interesting, if they will export it. I'll go after that. In the mean time, if anyone has better options or something closer to BKK, please let me know. Thanks for all the replies so far. |

Big thanks, Rupert! These guys look serious enough to me and Malaysia is just around the corner (more or less). I'll give them a call tomorrow morning and see where it ends.
