How many lpm of 90% oxygen do u think u would need per m3 of water aka 1000 litters

About 16lpm... 1000lph....

Give or take... depending on fish species... number of fish...

Just curious, but would it be cheaper and easier to just use an oxygen tank? I imagine a welding supplier would stock them.

For the psa thingy I have read that all u need to do is pump the air throught the zeolite at 20 ish psi and it will aborsurbe the n and u will be left with oxygen and u have to pay rent on oxygen bottles

Ps oxygen could be used for back up oxygen ie when the power goes out etc

Doesn't vpsa... involve creating a vacumn....

Yer I thinks so it suck out the nirgen from the zeolite on wiki is says that vpsa is really good for aquaculture

It's an option becoming more prevalent in aquaculture... but most oxygen injection systems in aquaculture are either bottle/tank gas... or ozone generators/cones...

So make ozone and then convert it to oxygen and inject into the system

A local commercial aquaculture has come up with an alternative. I believe it's patented so i'll leave the legal issue to you.

Basically the idea is that oxygen can be fored into the water under pressure, so they drilled a deep hole and inserted a U shaped tube into the ground. At the bottom of the tube they inject an airstream and the pressure at whatever depth they are at forces the o2 into the system.

I have not bothered to go through the physics of it all, but i am sure there are formulas out there that you can determine how deep and how much air and volume of water you need to acchieve the rate you need. Certainly seems a simple concept of getting gasses into the water.

One of those things filed away in the back of my mind to get frustrated at later when i want to try it.

they might be trying to "patent" it, but it's been used in bio-remdiation, and waste water treatement....

No way they could patent it..."u-tube" aerators have been around for donkeys years...

Discussed here... viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9340

And some tech info... http://ag.arizona.edu/azaqua/ista/ISTA7 ... nation.pdf

What do u think about injecting via venturis under pressure is it a good idear or not
