No I had the stands made MC. This first batch were painted, but all stands in future will be galvanised, having them galv dipped is a much better stand.. |

the metal work looks pro , thats why i asked. im a metal fabricator, to bad you are so far. hot dip zinc is good. powder coat is real good too, and less expensive here, and you can pick the colors. the best would be aluminum or stainless steel, but thats $$$$ |

MC - do you have to bake the metal after spraying the powder on? What sort of equipment do you need to do it? |

the way i've seen it done is industrial, parts are hung on a chain conveyor that is electrostatically charged, it goes thru the powder booth and comes out with a coating, and then on into the oven booth. presto, powder coat. I have a mate that has a mate  gives him a call when ever they are doing a "run" of a certain colour he needs, somehow a car part gets hung inbetween the other stuff

A friend suggested some other method as well, some bath dipping thing, I must find out more about it... 
Hmm, I know we used to get all our switchboards powder coated where I used to work, must get onto them and check out prices.. |

yeah sounds like it hey Rupe.....oh and Steve, I had a mate who had a mate that did powder coating too lol....got me harley frame n some other stuff done....they either didnt notice or didnt care as it wizzed by on the line rofl...in one end then into me boot at the other |
