If anyone wishes to get an idea of how well a 3 watt pump works,
I have made some tests on my 3 watt aquarium water pump.
3 watts, 110 volts, ratings given= .5 meter height, 200 liters/minute.

I attached 2 feet of 1/2 inch hose to the pump.

00 cm head = 2.9 liters/minute = 174 liters/hour
03 cm head = 2.8 liters/minute
08 cm head = 2.6 liters/minute
12 cm head = 2.5 liters/minute
16 cm head = 2.4 liters/minute
20 cm head = 2.3 liters/minute
24 cm head = 2.1 liters/minute
30 cm head = 1.8 liters/minute
38 cm head = 1.2 liters/minute
41 cm head = 1.0 liters/minute
46 cm head = .69 liters/minute
47 cm head = .60 liters/minute
50 cm head = .45 liters/minute
51 cm head = .20 liters/minute

Also, without any hose attached, when I aimed the water outlet strait up out of the water, the water would only rise in a column of 6 inches height.
It seams to need the hose attached to raise water higher.

Wow that's interesting how quickly the rate drops off.

Do you mean 200 litres per hour though (on the manufacturers specs)?

Yes should be - ratings given= .5 meter height, 200 liters/hour
Didn't have glasses on , and misread small print.
Most pumps of the same general design, but different watts, drop off the same way.
Also, most companies of more expensive pumps often give this information, either on web site or included with pumps.

Always missing one little word in spec it seems
0.5m height OR 200 lph

Agreed.
Also, every time I post something, I leave a work out, or misspell something. I can re read it several times, and still not see it, until I am past editing time. They have a time limit set to make edits.
I think their editor is programed to change a letter here and there on each posting, just to keep it interesting.
