Im looking at from largest to smallest #57 Granet 1/2" Pea Pebble (look like the river rock type) #86 Granet Any one have experiance with eather of theas or sugestions. iv already ready the stickys and didnt find any thing definative on thease two. |

I went with the next step up above river rocks. At this point I wish I had gone smaller (planing seedlings in the larger stuff is stressful for me, if not the plants). I've heard people say that granite has too many fines in it... maybe it's crumbly? I'd go with the 1/2" pea gravel. Only down side I can see is it may clog more quickly than larger media, but it also provides more surface area per cubic foot (assuming the texture is about the same). Pea gravel and worms, then |
