I'm new to the plumbing thing, and I want to know how to connect a water pump to PVC to split the water flow to different grow beds. I haven't bought anything yet, and I just want to know some basics. Pictures would be helpful too! Thanks. |

Bunson was kind enough to answer that for me on my thread just yesterday ^_^ Rather than repost I'll just link to what he showed me. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=12636 sorry I don't know how to make the link go to the post but it's near the bottom of the first page with the "distribution manifold" (type that in search to go straight to it) |

That really didn't help me with anything. |

i don't have any pictures, but when you buy your pump, it will probably have a threaded outlet and come with a fitting that has threads.. take that fitting into your hardware store, they'll have a PVC threaded male coupling, you screw that into the pump, and then just insert the pipe in the coupling... you'll use "T" fittings and 90 ell fittings to get your water from one point to another, and split flows |

When I get home, I take a picture of my distribution from the water pump to my grow beds and post it here for you. |

Do you want even flow to all beds or will one bed have higher/lower flow volume than another? (If so, why?) How much space have you got to work with? How big is the pump? FT+ST? GBs?

I was fortunate enough with my pump that a 40mm screw on connector fitted. |

Cool. Thanks guys. I saw where some used a tubing coming from the pump. I had though of just sticking that into some PVC, but it probably wouldn't hold well. The PVC fitting looks like the way to go. |
