From this link: http://cen.acs.org/articles/90/web/2012 ... water.html This research topic could be used for more than just de-salination. Essentially it stores Na and Cl and the polarity of the 'battery' can be reversed to flush the salt back out. So imagine we take the salt out when we pump up to the growbed and put it back in when it comes back down. Maybe this will open the door to us being able to grow freshwater vegetables with salt water fish? |

separate fish and plant is much easier. |
