They are a 50mm threaded fitting that screws on to the IBC thread and has a 50mm BSB Female thread, you can get them from that big plumbing supplier starting with R.
I only know because they sent me one by accident when I had ordered something completely different, but thats not unusual for them!

I bought my fittings from Couplers in Malaga, although I learned that Hose Fittings Plus (aka Hose Mania) in Canning Vale also stock similar items. There may be others?

I have one threaded part which fits the IBC (Schutz S60 x 6 x 2 FBSP Adaptor, $11.50) and a second part which has a standard plumbing-PVC thread screws into this (2 x 1 1/2 Poly Reducing Bush, $3.35). I then employ a "standard" PVC 50mm threaded coupling from there... tomorrow I might be able to provide some pics for you (depending on what time I get home from work)

If you need pics, then just shout and I will take some tomorrow when the sun is up!

Here is one of mine.

It is just the spout from the ibc cut to where it goes straight and a 40mm plumb quick connection. Not the 50mm you wanted but the internal of the spout is close to the 40mm internal. You can get the plumb quick in a 40 to 50mm reducer but a 40 to 50mm reducing socket would do the same thing.

I just filed down the thread and with the aid of silicone bashed on a 50mm DWV coupler, then do your normal plumbing. On eight tanks has been there for 2 years and no leaks.

That would be time consuming to file down that many threaded outlets and the fittings would be somewhere on par with the price of a rubber "plumbquick" or "fernco" you have used there.

Looking around evilBay for water tanks to use as FT today, I found these Rupert

and another without reducer

Yep thats them, without the reducer would be the way to go for an SLO just get a 50mm hex nipple, a 50mm F.I. Elbow and a riser of poly or pressure pvc or DWV PVC and your there for an SLO.

Thinking of doing this on my IBC, though wonder how you stop fish going into the pipe - did you attach a screen to the inside of the IBC somehow?
