| Post subject: | How to protect the water pump |
Hi, I'm close to starting up my first AP system. I got this pump: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002H ... 00_details It was inexpensive and should work for my little barrel system. However, on the package it said to be used with "clean water." I'm starting to think that it might get clogged easily. Should I create some sort of protection around the inlet of the pump and if so, how do I do that? Thanks! |

If it has a foam filter, remove it and it should pump the solids to the grow beds without a problem jT |

Took off front panel, all it seemed to do was control how much water was allowed in. Will just have to see how it goes. Figure, if I protect pump, I'll be stopping solids from going to GB which would defeat the purpose of having an AP system |
