has anyone come across a portable aquarium heater? say if you wanted to catch a warm water fish and heat it till you got home? or anyone come with any simple DIY ways to do this? thanks in advance |

Solder a cigarette lighter connection and a couple of wires to a 12volt globe, Waterproof the whole lot by dipping it into a bitumen type paint, hang it in the water and turn it on. Just Vary the wattage depending how much water you need to heat. And anyway... Where do you plan to catch warm water fish in Melbourne??? |

Generally water is slow to lose it's heat, I would think the best way if moving fish for just a few hours would be to insulate whatever they are in. |

thanks for the ideas, dicko yours is a little Mcgyver for me! one of the bottom two or a combination may just do it ill let you know how i go.. thanks again! |
