| Post subject: | Duck Weed Tank Question |
Hey guys i have a little video question for you guys so you get an idea what im dealing with Now with the new SLO in the FT i will need to screen it so poo doesnt go into the duck weed tank as the SLO in the duck weed tank will need to be screened so the glass shrimp dont get sucked out. How would the lack of poop affect the duck weed? Would it be better to just screen the SLO in the duck weed tank and dont worry about the other SLO? |

If i leave the solids in the FT and the filtered water from the FT to duck weed tank is enough then thats good, if not i can have the slo collect solids and put it into the duck weed tank. |

I'd get the solids out of the fish tank anyway... but dumping them into the duckweed tank will result in them "decomposing"... and releasing ammonia... for the duckweed... You might need to oxygenate your duckweed tank though.. especially if the solids build up significantly.... You could also put some yabbies in the duckweed tank... |

Ah ok i will make the slo with slots for the solids then. I will be adding the glass shrimp that will feed off the duckweed hopefully and once the population is up i will chuck in some yabbies. By the way Rupert can you recommend any 8 outlet air pumps that doesnt use much watts |
