Please excuse me for being naive. All this is new to me.

This may sound like an extremely basic question but what's the difference between a Constant Flow system and an Ebb and Flow system? Are they built the exact same way ... but the one has a timer on a the pump to flood and drain instead of have a continuous flow?

Also, I've heard that Ebb & Flow is better for more hearty produce like tomatoes, squash and melons while CF has more of it's better emphasis on leafy greens. Is this true?

What resources are there that can give good walkthroughs on construction Ebb & Flow systems?

Thanks Everyone.

Yep, jury is still out on a few of those questions.. It seems that all ways work fairly well for all plants so far.

Earthbound,
So what's the advice for a newbie starting a system? It looked like from the Trials that D&F out performed the others considerably at the start. Do you still recommend CF for a few months and then changing over to D&F?
