A quick run down of the compost worm bin i made. I will have a better video when i get a chance.

Looks good, but bear in mind sticky tape doesn't last long at all in a humid bin, and worms and all the other critters who'll be living alongside them love to explore. I bet you'll have to use something like superglue to keep that netting in place past the first couple of weeks.

Personally I wouldn't bother worrying at all about aeration of the lower bin. If you want 'worm tea', just scoop out a handful of castings, bubble them up in some compost tea and voila! you've got a bucket full of the stuff. Waiting for enough moisture to precipitate out of the bin (without it being nasty leachate) and worrying that it remains aerobic until you're ready to use it... just ain't worth it. The real goodness is in the worm poop, IMO.

Ya sticky tape wont hold. I just need it to hold for 1-2 weeks, this is just a trial (Also there is no vents that are taped down that is any where near the worms). If it works and i find the worms are ok i will make the bigger bins and i will glue them on.

The aeration is actually for the upper bin. The bottom of the upper bin has heaps of holes, but with no air from the bottom bin its kinda useless. So now with the vent holes on the side air can flow in and out from top to bottom.

Edit- worms went in yesterday hehe
