Screwing straight into the pump would be best but you can also do it like below

I bought http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Jebao-Energy ... 5ae07ec396 yesterday, really a impulse buy. I bought it as it could pump up to 6mm solids. Now i got it home and was think how the heck do i put on my pressure pipe. How do people connect it? Also is there any point in having these pumps that can handle solids in the FT (CHIFTPIST)? When its opened it looks like a normal pump. |

I have a similar fitting to your pump on mine and found that a 40mm fitting like this: http://www.wetearth.com.au/Faucet-Socket-PVC-Cat-18 screwed straight on. Update: Not sure if that will accommodate your pressure pipe though. |

Yeah, remove the screw on fitting they have, take it to retic store and try to find something that will screw straight onto the pump. We have a very similar pump here with same sort of pipe adaptor and the fittings we use on our growbed drains, fits the pump perfectly.. Be careful though, they may have a slightly different thread to many standard fittings... |

Grab ya pump head to the local Plumbing/irrigation shop, they will help u find some fittings then reduce down to what u need looks to me like it doesnt have a strainer though??? is there going to be fish where it is?? cos if no strainer there fish will become fish pulp... |

Yes it will be going to the sump tank. I dont think its got a strainer so im guessing small fish that are smaller (<1-2cm) might get sucked in but any bigger fish i thought should have been ok? Its meant to be in a pond so im guessing it should have been ok. |

Yeah... Thats a pond pump.. I'm confused... There's basically no difference between that pump linked above, or the one you bought at the top of the page.. They have a different plastic mould around them thats all... |

From the ebay pics, it shows it pulled down... undo the cover to expose the actual pump, remove the fittings on there then you should be able to fit like arbe suggested a 40mm fawcet fitting on there. Also it looks liek u can take off the inlet fitting which makes the cover work like a strainer.... doesnt matter what size fish, they are inquisitive and will try look in there then get stuck in the suction line.... i wouldnt risk it with no strainer |

that pump is fine  Just need to get the fittings for it, if u need a strainer on it just make one out of some 40mm pressure pipe with 8-10mm holes in it around 400mm long. |
