KP I recieved in the mail all the tech specs and stuff from a mob in Brisbane that imports them and they are happy to send out singles. You might want to re consider an order of 25. Then again you may not.

Bought mine from here 6x1" postage $5 (Could not find anywhere in WA that stocked them) good to deal with. Unfortunately they are out of stock on the 2".
I put on another thread that KY Jelly was probably a good lubricant for them, it is, bit round the seal and bit on the pipe, still a push but ok.

Yeah it probably would be. After all it's designed to work with rubber and not corrode it.

Suspect they may not be rubber, possibly synthetic rubber from the smell of them. Was more worried about the detergent as a drop goes a long way in water.

Indeed. Still it shouldn't corrode, and detergent is evil, like most oils. KY would do well, as it spreads so thin.

I was just kidding, my point was that you could use almost anything. I just used water for the 50mm ones. They aren't that hard to get in but some water does help and more importantly bevel the end of the pipe so that it has an angled edge to protect the seal as you push it through. Make sure you drill a neat hole and clean up the burrs with a knife or something so the seal gets a good fit around the outside of the grommet.

I very much doubt that on a 25 going through HDPE ie barrel. Holesaws are 44mm, uniseals specs are 44.4 mm +2mm but no minus. :)

Sleep, what you're imagining is probably a flycutting tile cutter.
The timber/plastic holesaws ($4 from B, in the tool section) are the same, but have two cutters.
they're cheap and inaccurate, so measure twice, and cut a practice hole to make sure :-)

A photo will be forthcoming

Edit: Damnit... batteries for the camera are flat. :-(
