Worked out what I was doing wrong - was holding down mouse button while extruding.

Hi EB,
It's nice, but the really sexy drawings have towers in them. :happy8:

These are some mockups I did with our program (VectorWorks). I made symbols out of the growbeds and tank I am using or are looking at using, and arranged them in interesting ways. In our program you can set the sun accurately too, and you can also change the view to be looking at the model from the sun's direction; simulating sun coverage is extremely helpful for planning out things. The winter one is on March 15th, Summer at June 21st.

BTW, my thighs aren't as muscular as this guy's and I don't have a mullet (or much hair at all really).

The towers remind me of tikis when they are empty. Wouldn't it be cool to make a growbed from a tiki!!!

Dave if you took up cycling and 70's fashion you could have thighs and a mullet like that. How did you trim a piece off of towers. a straight line went through the walls of tower an arc was too pronounced once it met surface.

Freehand? Only just found the freehand tool...

Hi:
This is with VectorWorks. I created a cylinder and subtracted cones from it.

Some of our programmers are from Eastern Europe, which might be why the guy looks like that...

Dave talkd about setting lattitude and londitude by using the current view feature. I have done this but don't like how it takes a snapshot of the google earth picture of my property. It get in the way and makes it difficult to see what is going on. Is there a way to get the program to recognise my latt and long without having the picture there. I want to check out the sun falling on my planned greenhouse location.

I must say that when I placed the greenhouse in its exact intended location by placing it on the google earth picture, the shadow and lighting was a bit strange. It seemed to be light at night time

Aquaddict's post about his herb garden linked to a fishtank got me wondering how I could alter my school tank, and here is the result...
