Sounds almost new price to me Corny.... I can buy single use IBC's for $150, used once, then sold.. When I enquired about new ones they were just over $300... My 1000L aquaculture tank cost $350 new..

Sounds about right my 2 ibc i git for nothing then they went to $100 now $170 and 6 months wait

Problems is everywhere you look around here they want prices like that! I was extremely lucky to get three 200lt plastic blue containers for $30 each.

I shall keep looking!

yeah they are pricey here too. the next tank I will make from plywood and line with PVC pond liner. It costs $5.00 per square meter here. I can cut it and use PVC Cement to put it together.

Suggestion I've just been given was to use old diesel tanks.

Apparently the diesel cleans out very readily and you end up with a good tank. The person who told me has used one as a water tank for years without problem.

Does anyone have any medical, chemical knowledge as why this would be a bad idea? If not I'll go looking myself just saves me research time.

Yeah I could but then I might as well just dig the hole and line that.

IF painting it with appropriate paint of some sort would be cheaper than liner then maybe. The hole in the ground and xavan pond liner is still looking like the best option so far. Still investigating concrete though.

Stuart how did you go with those big ex tannery tanks

Havn't managed to get on to him yet. Come 9:00 its first on my list of things to do today.
