Thanks Guys,

i'm planning on making a couple of 1000L indoor tanks for fingerling stocking to sell with my aquaponics systems, not grand scale or anything just somewhere to house/grow a couple of breeds, so that i can stock systems as i install them and have some for anyone else who wants fish in central vic.

so a 1100LT Ibc with 2 x Blue Barrels with Expanded clay and solids pre removal are rough unit sizes i'm thinking, i would be running separate systems, and keep the barrels Constantly flooded, (BYAP Trials have shown the filtration benefits of this) and have some fine filter wool or similar on the top to remove fine solids and keep the media clean. or as you have VB a few worms kicking around!!!

Obviously will be looking a lot further into this but has been helpfull to get some info!

Cheers

once i have a new one i set it up on a existing tank and allow the colony to take a hold in the new one, the bacto is free flowing in the tanks water, sometimes i place the dirty filter fiber in the new one to jump start it. my oyster shell is whole not flour bits.
