Blue fin... how big is the corogated tank? If it is fairly small, and you think you may have problems with troweling concrete in a vertical fashion or mixing it to the right consistancy. Lay the tank on its side. chock it up and with chicken wire attached apply the cement as you roll the tank. I helped dad a few years ago at the pottery when he cemented the inside of some 44 gallon drums. We turned the wheel (pottery wheels) on its side and turned and smoothed the cement like a pot. Used them for mini glass kilns.
I know the scale is different, but is a similar principle. Just practice getting the consistancy right.

Either way you do it, think about adding perlite and vermiculite to the first few layers to improve insulation. Although up in Rockhapton you should be OK in that regard...

Hey C1,

There's a building demolition site near my place that I've gotten approval to pick over what's there and there's alot of corragated iron sheets there. I'm thinking of making up a tank using these sheets and then cementing the inside. Have you had any experience with this?

I was going to build it either in a hexagonal shape (so the sheets don't have to bend) or try to get the sheets bent some how.

Cheers,

Duncan.
