I know higher temps reduces the DO levels, but never have I heard of pH affecting it.

My trout seem immune to pH shock. I get them from a pH 5.5 stock dam at the supplier and bung them into a pH 8 system and they don't blink an eye! Must be in the breeding. I still think there was something toxic that did yours in.

Thanks everyone for you reply i thought it could have been a contamination from the roof EG elm tree growing near roof.
Also sounds like it could be the ph level, unfortunately i dont have a test kit yet could anybody tell me where to get one.

If you get the API master test kit you get amm, nitrite & nitrate tests as well.
