Thanks for the advice but i'm way ahead of ya :D :D
I've added some more current pictures of the set up, they include the bracing you guys mentioned. The pipe is heavy duty 60mm*4mm stuff which use to be footy goal posts, infact all the bits n peices are recycled accept for the pipe joiners and weed mat.

The whole structure is 6m long so maximum unsupported span is 3m. cross bracing with the two pipes combined with a couple of bath tubs bolted in place.

Legs are sitting on a paver or two......i'm lazy

I'll run with this for awhile and see how it goes but more bath tubs can easily be added to the end if need be.

Total cost for the grow beds comes to approx. 120$ :D :D

Tank should be ready on friday and then its cycle time...with the help of a pre-loved pool pump

Hey that's no fair.... :D

mind you over the last two weeks I've managed to retrieve enough PVC plumbing to plumb about three or four AP systems.....

two house renos (almost total strip and redo jobs) and some leftovers from a $3million upgrade at the local high school...

builders seem to be eternally greatful that someone will take the stuff away so that they don't have to pay to dump it...

Yeee Hawww!!! I think I fell in with a bunch of "good ole boys" from here!

In the US we get the moniker of "Red Necks". Unfortunately, many of you might be mistaken as to what the nick name refers to. It means, someone whose back of thier neck is sunburned from working outside. It also refers to the mindset of recycling as much salvaged goods into something useable, as is possible. Unfortunately, it also means most of us have piles of stuff that most of our neighbors and families do not appreciate. (Right now I've got two bathtubs, two water closets, about 6 plastic paint buckets, some tin ductwork, about eighteen feet of triple wall flue pipe and a truckload of lumber laying about the place. Did I forget to mention the pre-requisite three non running cars?) If I was as well trained as one fellow I graduated High School with, I would have one heck of a sculpture in my front lawn!
