I'm looking at adding one or two deep water culture beds to my system, it currently has three media beds providing excellent solids and bio filtration but I would like more growing space.

Although I'm unsure as to what is an appropriate material to use for the raft. I would rather avoid things that could leach chemicals into the water such as glue used in marine plywood.

What would be the best material that can be found in south east Queensland?

Keen to see what people suggest. DWC is something I'd like to do as well.
Looks better for lettuces I'd say.
It frustrates me having to sort through the roots to get my clay balls back every time I want to harvest my salads!! Sadly lose a few worms in amongst the roots too, which is no good for anyone!
