Hello Ponics Peoples,

I am in the need to build a water tank for the NFT system I am in the build progress of.
Rough inside dimensions would be 11'x3'x1' Length x Depth x Height. Figuring about 150 gallons or so running at a around 60% full of water

Originally I was thinking of building this from 2x12's and lined with some plastiv but that is going to be rather heavy to move indoors in the winter.

Perhaps a rib cage design out of 2x4's with some thin walls would be better and possibly cheaper?

Was hoping for some help anyone could please provide some info on materials that might be best for this project?

Priorities are ordered as such:

1. Cost. :)
2. Weight
3. Cleanliness of design.

So you want something portable?

Water is pretty heavy, but the most portable would be an IBC (it's what it's designed for afterall).

LOL, No it does not need to be portable while filed with water. :) It just needs to be able to be moved with ease when empty. I just really don't want to build a 150lb **empty** tank to lug inside. An IBC tank is going to be too costly to try and find one in the profile dimensions I am looking for.
