on the weekend i blew a diaphragm on an old sweetwater L29H linear air pump that runs my dwc buckets and raft beds. the housings are in good condition and not damaged.

Unfortunately being an older model i cant find any info online about it except that it was manufactured by pentairaes. and is the same power consumption as their current sl56h
http://pentairaes.com/sweetwater-linear-ii-diaphragm-air-pumps.html

everyone i have seen locally has been unable or unwilling to help.
if anyone owns a new model or similar pump could you please let me know what the dimensions are for the four screw points that hold the housing to the metal backing plate are.
Image
spacing on my screw holes for housing is 60mm apart the diaphragm has a 6mm X 10mm 2mm deep recess on the support plate for the linear arm and the diaphragm itself is OD 68mm ID 60mm with 3mm lip
or if any one knows of a supplier of repair kits or diaphragms

any help would be greatly appreciated

Umm.. the best one I have is home made.. made from a silicone baking mat from ALDI..
I Think it's excellent, because it is so heat resistant.. :-)

Use the old one as a template..

:think:would terry white chemist recommend they come with a 8 year service lifespan on the housing?

this diaphragm has the linear arm mounting plate attached to both sides of the rubber that cant be removed without damaging it and a chunky recessed lip, not sure if i would get a suitable seal with the baking mat given the volume of air this pump moves.

previous owner used it for a 10 000L aquaculture system.

I don't know if you can call toll free numbers from there but my first inclination is to check with Pentair to see if the diaphram matches any of their newer models - at least this might get you some additional options.

i have used their ticketed email help service, they have 5 rebuild kits in stock L29RK for $139 usd ea
+ frieght.
aquasonic have the kits available in nsw for $200 ea

I wouldn't mind purchasing one full kit at these prices, only if I was certain that individual aftermarket diaphragms are available for future repairs/servicing.

as I know individual diaphragms for 30 series septic pumps and the hailea range retail at under
$20 a set.
