Umm I have an 100 watt R1102 gast blower running 20kL system just fine

Submergence inch : LPM / Air
15 : 141
10 : 283
5 : 424

@ 10" depth its moving 1000 LPM of h20 @ 1" head

the 150 watt version R2103
25 : 424
20 : 509.703246
15 : 707
10 : 736
5 : 849

@ 10" depth its moving 3000 LPM of h20 @ 1" head

actually they were measured @ 4" head ,
but the system is setup @ 0 head
I have grow beds ( wicking beds) and fish tank sitting at same water level with airlift pump circulating water between the two

Ie if 2x IBC side by side fish tank buried in the ground and the wicking bed buried 70cm deep
this means 70% of the wicking bed is water logged for filtration sysytem and the top 30cm is dry for wicking
the wicking bed has a filter screen separating left and Right Side filled with scoria
Right hand side is inlet left hand side is outlet
Right hand side connected to fish tanks SLO
Air lift pump operates on left hand side pulling water out of the wicking bed into fish tank
water then circulates Right hand side builds up solids and fresh filtered water passes through to the left hand side for fish return

worms in wicking bed break down solids etc
very low running cost gravity does most of the work

only time will tell if it will work but i do have a flush valve on the Right hand side along with a built in air stone for mixing up the solids on a timer to help break them down faster

blowers are great at shallow depths you don't need to go below 1 foot ...

its constant flow and water leaving the fish tank should be aerated enough to keep wicking bed healthy
each IBC ( 24x ) are flowing about 50 LPM cycling water 3 times per hr and for 100 watts p/hr I am happy

how ever I do actually have airflow rates controlled by a computer the flow rate is actually cycled between IBC's but I am not going to get into my solenoid madness :P
lets just say more air moved more water I think it was 100 LPM of air was the most efficient flow rate / water movement ratio below 80 LPM water stopped moving

so I have a shared air line that keeps all airlifts idling along then I have them go full throttle for a minute then move onto the next one

so the returning water can churn up the fish tank water and give it a nice swirl 3 times an hr pretty much

Blinding result,i picked up the strawberry thief from school and with the ideal about this blower in my mind we went off to the shop with the view to have a look.Arriving the shop i opened the box and when the minion came over i asked if we could plug it in and try it,she shook her head and took us over to the boss minion,he agreed. As soon as it got up to revs it was obvious it was of no use,so i thanked them and went to leave where upon the boss said why dont you try this one and got the minion to fetch a 60lpm piston pump marked at 1460 baht, its the same as i already have so i casually asked how much, where he replied 1200 baht so i bought two a saving of a night on the beer.
Conclusion this particular model, although advertised under aquiculture was shiiite and as Food&Fish posted it would have struggled even at 6 inch depth.

That's some seriously high precision measuring! Gotta love the mixed imperial and metric units, at least everyone can half understand it, except us oldies who know both systems
