Sorry if I missed it but have you done a test run with media in the GB's to check on the support stability etc, there can be a bit of weight when Gbs are full. In some cases the plumbing can move a little with added weight too.

Nope. I have not. But I have tested with the GBs full of water. It was fine.

Where do you see weakness??

No weakness spotted, just thought Id mention it from a previous mistake of my own and it was a bugger to fix afterwards. Filling with water would have shown any issues, your all over it. :)

I always had intentions of cladding my old system but never got around to it.

Looking forward to the finished product! :)

Phew I thought you spied something problematic in the photo!

I've been testing for leaks and stand pipe heights so I've run the pipe from the pump in the STs directly into the GBs. They have never all been full at once - but at some point they've all been filled with water for a few hours.

Hi SydneyChick.

I also used pine cladding but overlapped the planks as seen the below photos. It will add extra cost but allowed some extra air flow as I had foil insulation under the planks to keep the grow bed frames dry.

I have two doors covered in double layers of shade cloth so I can get in between the tanks and sump. There is also another door on the other side that is screwed in place and not used as often.

Your system is looking good so keep up the good work.

Looking good Johny5!

I'm majorly annoyed (AGAIN) :upset: because I dropped the 4 litre tin of paint today. Such a pain because it was a mis-tint and only cost me $10.

Now I'm going to have to go to B and fork out to get paint to finish the project. :upset:

Argh, annoying!

If you can't get another tin of cheap mis-tint, Bunnings has a cheap range of British Paints exterior paint for around $20 for 4lt and $35 for 10lt from memory. Goes by the name British Paints "Professional" or something like that. I wouldn't use it on my house but it's cheap enough for hobby related painting!
