Crsublette, on your other thread, low head high volume pumps, I suggested a Messner ECO X Plus 10000.
Stuart advised that Messners were not very efficient; however if we are talking say a 20-30 cm head I am not sure whether he has run the numbers for that pump.
The pump curve is crap because they are a low head pump, I am also not sure whether they do a 110v model.
They are pricier than normal pumps but so are Oase, both a German built.

Yea, at ultra low head (@ 0.25m), that pump does match (or better than some) of the airlift designs I have seen.

I was looking for a United States distributor whom sells a Messner pump 110/120volt model, but does not seem to exist.... this seems to be a major obstacle unless the pump brand is a more nationally known brand, such as Laguna.

At least... this tells me that such pumps do exist at our hobby level and I just gotta find'm!

My number crunching of the smaller model Laguna pumps have shown to be like (although slightly better) the Messner pump at ultra low head, but, once I put in 0.10m head, then the airlift designs I have seen perform much better.
