I have a line on a rather cheap IBC. BUT the last guy to own it has had it for a few months and was storing diesel fuel in it. I am guessing that this means it is not a good idea to use for a AP system. I was thinking I could give it a good power washing and cleaning, but wanted you input first. Such a newbie question! LOL

I wouldn't use the tank that had diesel fuel.

If it was regular chlorine bleach then the other tank can be used. Give it a good cleaning and let it sit in the sun just to be sure - The UV in sunlight should breakdown any residual. I'd then give it a final rinse, set it up and try out a test fish.

Thanks. I am going to wait and save my pennies so I can get the whole system started at one time. The wife hates having unfinished projects lying around.
