Hi Joe.. Seems you got no response.. :dontknow:

Could be good to know your setup, as that may help..

I think (sometimes) there is a thread in HARDWARE about pumps, but the bottom line is that AIR IS GOOD and I suspect that you really can't have too much of it..
It gives air for the fish to use and gives them comfort, hiding below it's blanket..
It can be used to create currents to sweep the tank floor.. and is critical in the nitrogen cycle..
All of which you likely know

Most folk seem to like the AC/DC versions (as it gives some "Power Fail" capacity), but these seem to be a bit toy like for me and I use those metallic diaphragm ones.. two in fact..
And I plan an interlock system such that if one pump fails, the other will cut in and set off an alarm indicator - for safety..

Anyway, more on that... What is your setup like..
Peter

I'm looking at this currently, and the reding seems to indicate at least 50% of tank volume per hour and 100% is best, but no experience here haha

I aimed for the 100% volume of the system per hour and went with a 60lpm pump, split between my two single IBC systems. I got a Hailea ACO-318 air pump from eBay, it has been running constantly since I have got it, and while it hasn't been that long I've had no problems with it so far. In theory it can do a maximum of 60 litres per minute, so 3.6k litres per hour, I think that would be sufficient for your system.

This is the pump I got. I strung it up inside a box and I think it's helped to reduce the noise a bit.

I got the Hailea V30 and it runs pretty silent. 30lpm. Got 6 outlet valve where I run 4 air stones to the IBC fish tank and 2 to the sump.
