Hi all...

I have been running my system from around december last year to now. And it has been running continually without many problems. Following is a image of my system, and I was wondering if I have set it up correctly...

Is this setup going to pose any problems, should I modify it. or is it ok?
The image shows the following:
- Water is pumped from the sump to the growbeds.
- Growbeds use a siphon to siphon water into the fish tank, which also aerates the water
- water froom fish tank overflows into swirl filter, which has a tap to drain
- water overflows back into sump

Kind regards

I would go, Fish Tank > Swirl filter > Grow beds > Sump > Fish Tank.

Unless you sump has some sort of bio filtration....

Why would the sump need bio filtration? That will take place in the grow beds?

That's the same basic arrangement as I have, except for the swirl filter, which I consider unneccessary for my stocking rates. I have ~4000litre FT, ~2000l ST and 9 * 500l GBs, which have stand pipes for drainage, rather than syphons, and I also run a 40l/min air pump in the FT for extra aeration.
