Hi All.
That other grocery chain, that has specials every Saturday, are selling a 2,200 watt 4 stroke generator for $299 on Sat 12th of April. I'm in NSW so not sure about other states. I have lived at my present address for 12 years without a blackout of even a few minutes but now that I have an AP system no doubt we will experiance sustained long term blackouts on a regular basis, so I think I will buy one.
Anyone bought one of these previously ? Any good/bad reports on them ?
cheers Steve.

I haven't got one personally but a family member does and he has been really happy with it. He's had it a few years now and it's seen a fair bit of use (and travel) and apparently it's still going strong.

There of course is always the chance you'll end up with a dud one, but that other grocery chain is pretty good with returns so there isn't much risk (obviously just keep your receipt).

Most likely a 3 year warranty so use it every month for a day and it should be ok. I bought one from Masters for $50 700 watt. Saved my system when the power was down for 6 days.

Check the fuel line is not plain rubber, if it is replace with proper fuel line. As I said run your system with it for at lest a 8 hour period every month otherwise when you need it it will not work.

I was looking myself but am away for another 2 weeks.
