I have a tall 1000L fish tank that I need to raise in height to be able to SLO to growbed height. I have two IBC bases left over that I'm thinking of standing the tank on to raise it.

Only problem is the bases are slightly narrower in one direction than the tank, meaning there would be an overhang of 7cm at the base of the tank on two of the sides. What do people reckon? Will this cause the tank to sag/deform over time?

Here is a diagram showing the tank profile against the IBC base profile.

Don't think 7 cm either side is a major concern...

I like the optical illusion that causes the sides of the square to "deform"... :D

If your worried, I bought some form ply and used it under the tall tank, cut to the size of the base, then just bricks under the form ply.. Been ok out in the weather for a few years now...
