Hello

I got 2 off these container given (freebies) and now I want to do the right thing with them and want your ideas. dimensions are roughly bigger than 2 ibcs, 2400 by 1400mm and a capacity of 1150 Liter.

First idea which came to my mind was using one as a pond, put a brick wall or timber around to make it nicer. digging it in is not such a good idea because the cane toads would use it for breeding. On the higher areas I would be able to install features like a water spraying ceramic elephant I have seen a while back, pockets for aquatic plants and a raceway for the fish.

second idea would be as a pond in a duckponics system.

Now it's your turn...

Cheers

I would suggest just using it as a grow bed. With raised cubes between your plants you could accomplish a huge growbed with little more than half the grow media required in a wide open bed.

Since they have such a nice volume you might do floating styrofoam plant island pads with fish underneath. Those trays seem to have nice ledges on the corners that could support plywood you could drill holes in to support something more substantial like apricot maybe.

I thought about DWC as well with some coreflute as cover.

I could also use it as a very shallow sump and put 4gbs on top.
