Agree with Stuart, we place severe regulation or restrictions here, just forces problem to move to where we have no control and lives and environment has low value.
Same arguments for many "green" ideologies. Pushed with good intentions however often has unintended and unacknowledged affects.

Anyone explored the use of bamboo? Could be used for straight runs quite easily. I'd say there would be solutions in SE Asia for bends where it's been used for thousands of years. Not sure whether bamboo is treated with anything nasty though?
